Joining The Ryan Firm in 2025, he brings extensive experience in criminal defense. Over the past three years, he has litigated motions, hearings, and jury trials, demonstrating a strong commitment to his clients. Michael is prepared to take cases to trial when necessary and is also skilled in negotiation. He has handled thousands of criminal cases with the District Attorney’s office and applies this expertise at The Ryan Firm.

Mr. Vasquez has managed both misdemeanor and felony cases, including approximately a dozen jury trials to verdict in his first year of practice. This experience has provided him with a valuable perspective and a strong courtroom presence. Clients of The Ryan Firm can be confident that their interests are well-represented and effectively communicated. 

Mr. Vasquez ventured 2,500 miles from Buffalo, NY, to earn his Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law, manifesting both his ambition and dedication to becoming a successful litigator. His leadership shone as he led the trial advocacy team in multiple winning competitions. Now, as an adjunct professor at the same institution, Mr. Vasquez mentors a 22-member team that competes three times each semester, inspiring many of his students to embark on their own successful legal careers.

In his free time, Mr. Vasquez plays competitive basketball, which sharpens his strategic thinking and resilience —qualities that directly enhance his legal practice. He enjoys reading and learning as a means to continually broaden his knowledge base. As a volunteer mock trial judge, he demonstrates community leadership, helping to foster a new generation of legal talent. He values time with his two children and family, reinforcing his commitment to responsibility. He is also interested in cars, movies, and, when possible, video games.
