Michael R. Brooks

Of Counsel

Studio Session-32288-Edit-Edit_edited_ed

Mike has been in civil trial practice with a focus on representing secured lenders since 1993. Since graduating from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, Mike has represented some of the largest lenders and loan servicers in the United States in a wide variety of matters from consumer loan issues to complex class action matters. Mike also has extensive experience in representing lenders in the United States Bankruptcy Courts. In addition to the lender work, Mike has a great deal of experience representing business owners and real estate investors in a wide variety of disputes.

Mike also seeks to contribute to the lender community by active participation in organizations that advocate on behalf of his clients. Mike has been a regular speaker at a variety of lender conferences. In addition, Mike has served as a Board Member for the United Trustee’s Association (UTA) and for the American Legal Financial Network (ALFN).

Over the years, Mike has been highly successful in resolving cases for his clients in the courtroom with a favorable judgment following summary judgment or trial. Moreover, Mike’s success extends to his appellate court practice as well with numerous favorable rulings, including published opinions. However, Mike understands that success is ultimately judged by the client’s particular goals and objectives. Accordingly, Mike focuses on understanding his client’s goals at the outset and remains laser-focused on pursuing those objectives.

While Mike is a lawyer by day, he is a husband, father and grandfather in life. He is blessed to have an amazing wife who has supported him and their 9 children for 36 years. He is now reaping the rewards of parenthood as he is blessed to have 6 grandchildren. In his free time, Mike enjoys activities he can share with his family.
